Scheduled Tribes (STs) is a term used in India to refer to certain indigenous groups or communities who are recognized as socially and economically marginalized. These communities are deemed as “Scheduled Tribes” based on their distinctive cultural, linguistic, and geographical characteristics, and Why are they called Scheduled Tribes? Article 366(25) of the Constitution of India mentions Scheduled Tribes as communities that are scheduled as per Article 342 of the Constitution.
